Plastic Toy Gift Application at the Request of Two Children
The harm caused because of using plastic to nature is one of the most talked about topics in recent years. While all the world try to take attention to this issue, a decision to reduce plastic use came from Burger King, one of the world's largest fast food chains.
Because plastic wastes cannot be melted in nature, it causes great harm to the environment and living things in nature. Especially, some studies about reducing the plastic usage which affects sea alives negatively continuous. Every year in our country, diving activities are organized in many places to collect plastic waste and environmental cleaning is carried out.
A move on plastic waste came from Burger King while the world is becoming more sensitive.
Burger King, one of the largest fast food chains in the world, announced that it will remove the plastic toys with children's menus. Behind this beautiful decision is a very sensitive story.

9-year-old Ella McEwan and 7-year-old sister Caitlin are two environmentally-conscious sisters.
Two sisters stated about Burger King and Mc Donalds “Think about the environment. Do not give plastic toys with your children's menus."
Girls wrote in to petition; “Children play with these toys for only a few minutes before they harm animals and pollute the sea. Instead, any toy or gift can be made from sustainable materials. ” More than half a million people supported the petition.
Burger King is not insensitive to this situation and announced that it will no longer provide children's menus with toys.
The company also called on its customers to bring back the old toys. It said that it would convert old toys. Burger King stated that he will put waste bins in his restaurants to collect his old toys and this will save 320 tons of plastic per year.
McDonald’s will not give up toys for now, and state that it will give fruit for alternative for toy with child menu.
McDonald’s also announced that it will try a service model that it plans to offer book as an alternative to toys in the children's menus from the beginning of next year.
